Plans Underway for 2010 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix

If you participated in this past years’ Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP), you know what a great event the club had. Our first driver’s school in several years at BeaveRun saw a number of BMW enthusiasts learn more about their cars in a day then most people in a lifetime. We hosted our 11th and largest club race which was viewed from our trackside corral with catered lunches from the Wexford Post Office Deli. The following week we participated in numerous car shows, hosted a chapter reception and two driving events. During the second weekend of the PVGP, we had over 230 cars on display, a catered lunch, and great BMW vintage racing. Make plans now to come out and enjoy one of our events or help us put it together. If you participated this past year, you helped us raise over $70,000 for the PVGP charities!

Help make 2010 a success. A team is being put together to plan and organize next years PVGP activities. Those plans will include a driver’s school on July 16; a club race and corral at BeaveRun on July 17 and 18; a chapter reception on Thursday, July 22; a road tour on Friday, July 23; and a two day corral, BMW Vintage Club Race and lunch on July 24 and 25 at Schenley Park. We could use some help planning the event to rival last years. Look for details on our website for times and locations of our planning meetings if you would like to help or to learn more.
